Dinner at COSMO, Bournemouth - Review*

I was very kindly invited down to try out the new COSMO in Bournemouth last week and my Dad and I had a brilliant evening. In case you've no idea what COSMO is, it's an all-you-can-eat buffet chain with multiple locations across the UK. The next closest one to us is Southampton! 

Now, for me, COSMO is far superior to a lot of the other buffets due to the broad range of food on offer. The Bournemouth one has Chinese, Indian, Korean, Italian, Sushi, a Carvery, a Grill as well as a wide range of desserts and a chocolate fountain. 

Just like any other buffet, you pay your flat charge and can eat whatever you fancy. 

The price on a Thursday night is £18.99 and I'd certainly say my dad and I got our money's worth. We had 4 plates of savoury food as well as a plate of desserts each. I, for one, had to roll myself out of the restaurant at the end. 

The food was all really tasty and the standout dishes for me were the duck pancakes (always) and the honey chicken! We both just had a bottomless soft drink but I did notice they had a full cocktail menu and lots of other drinks available too. 

One other thing I wanted to mention was the decor. It's clear that a lot of money has been spent doing up the venue and it looks fab. I mean, how many other food buffets do you see with floral ceilings? 

They do actually have robots that come and take your empty plates away but unfortunately, we only saw one of them once. For some reason, they weren't being used. I mean, I'm not saying to go just to see them, but they are pretty cool. 

If you fancy eating your body weight in all of the food you can think of then you absolutely must check out the new COSMO in Bournemouth. If anyone else remembers the old buffet that was there before, COSMO is a massive upgrade and the two are literally worlds apart.
